This happened today, actually, my name was written “Phillip” on a receipt. For one, it’s “Philip,” one L, and really, I prefer to be “Phil” anyway. Haven’t gone by “Philip” since grade school.

Mine’s not, but my daughter’s is. Her name is Alannah and everyone pronounces it “Uh-LAY-nuh” or “Uh-LAN-uh” instead of “Uh-LAW-nuh”
